Acupuncture and Hypnosis for

Natural Weight Loss

 

Approximately 70 million Americans are overweight. 34% of our country is obese, which means that one is over 20 pounds his or her optimal weight. The vast majority of overweight people have been on a variety of diets and regimens. It is quite common to experience initial success on diets. Unfortunately, the good results are usually temporary and eventually spiral into the same or a higher weight than we were at prior to the diet.

Weight loss is probably an issue for most of the population.  Statistics show that over 65% of our population is over weight or obese.   If you are like most of us, you would like to lose o few (or many) pounds.

 How does it work?

 Acupuncture works on many levels and many systems of the body.  For weight loss it directly addresses the 3 primary causes of weight gain.

1) Acupuncture reduces appetite.  When done correctly acupuncture stimulates the nerves that tell your brain that your stomach is full.  Let me repeat that:

  IT TELLS YOUR BRAIN THAT YOUR STOMACH IS FULL!

 This is quite important when trying to lose weight.  This is the theory that ear stapling was developed from.  But is much safer when performed by a licensed acupuncturist.

 

2)   Acupuncture reduces stress.  To reduce cortisol levels, the body must enter a relaxation state. By relaxing the body, it can normalize harmful cortisol levels.  When cortisol levels are reduced, the body can heal.  Acupuncture works very well at balancing hormones and reducing stress.

 

3)   Acupuncture increases metabolism.  Your metabolism is the rate at which your body burns fuel.  The slower your metabolism, the more your body will store fat.  The higher your metabolism, the more your body burns fat.  Acupuncture is very effective at improving metabolism and increasing you body’s ability to burn fat.   This in turn affects your energy.  By improving metabolism, you will find you have more energy to exercise instead of crashing at the end of the day.

 Acupuncture is not the miracle cure or instant fix that everyone is looking for.  It still takes work to change your diet and exercise. 

 But acupuncture can be a very powerful boost to any weight loss regimen.

Clinical Studies Prove Hypnosis Works . . .
Increases Weight Loss by 146%

What's more, numerous clinical studies have proven that hypnosis is amazingly effective in helping folks lose weight:

  • Hypnosis for Weight Loss  Huntington NYNewsweek Magazine writes,   "The easiest way to break bad habits is through Hypnosis." 

 

  • In a 9-week study of two weight management groups (one using hypnosis and one not using hypnosis), the hypnosis group continued to get results in the two-year follow-up, while the non-hypnosis group showed no further results (Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1985).

 

  • In a study of 60 women separated into hypnosis versus non-hypnosis groups, the groups using hypnosis lost an average of   17 lbs, while the non-hypnosis group lost an average of only .5 lbs  (Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1986).

 

  • In a meta-analysis, comparing the results of adding hypnosis to weight loss treatment across multiple studies showed that adding hypnosis increased weight loss by an average of 97% during treatment, and even more importantly increased the effectiveness POST TREATMENT by over 146%. This shows that hypnosis works even better over time (Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1996).

The bottom line is that when hypnosis sessions are added to various weight loss programs,

the results are always better

more than 146% better over the long term!
